Glenn Irwin
Glenn Irwin, AICP – former Executive Director (retired in 2023 after 23 years) of the Ocean City Development Corporation (OCDC), a non-profit organization charged with revitalizing downtown Ocean City. Among the OCDC projects he managed were: building renovation, business assistance programs, public art program, employee housing management, land acquisition, marketing, design standards, and special events.
Prior to OCDC, he worked for 16 years in the private and public sectors in South Florida specializing in downtown redevelopment, affordable housing, and urban planning.
Glenn volunteers with several local nonprofit organizations, such as the Lower Shore Land Trust and the Henry Hotel Foundation. Glenn also served for numerous years on the Board of Directors (2 as President) of theCommunity Development Network of Maryland advocating for community development projects and funding statewide. He also provides various consulting services under OCMD Consulting.
Glenn holds a B.A. in Economics from Rowan University (NJ) and a M.A. in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University. He also holds professional certification with the American Institute of Certified Planner.
